Privacy

The full privacy policy will be published before launch. In short:

  • Your files never leave your computer, so we never see them.
  • Your account holds your email, your subscription and the names of the computers you use Tukanu on.
  • The app sends a device ID, the computer’s name and its version when it checks your subscription and its updates. Nothing about your files.
  • If you send a problem report, it holds your message, your email and the app details shown before sending. We use it only to answer you.
  • The website counts visits and steps such as signing up and subscribing with PostHog, without cookies. The app sends no analytics; its activity is counted from the subscription checks it already makes.
  • When something on the website fails, a technical error report goes to Sentry, with your account ID if you’re signed in. It never includes your email, payment details or files. The app sends no error reports on its own.
